AFL / Fujikura FSM-19S Fusion Splicer Kit
The FSM-19S Fusion Splicer is a lower cost solution than core-alignmet splicers, yet it still has high end robust features to increase efficiency and durability in the field.
The new FSM-19S Fusion Splicer (replaces the older FSM-18S Model) from AFL is a low cost, fixed V-groove, 2-axis cladding alignment, single fiber fusion splicer with the same robust features offered in other high end models. The new rugged construction adds improved reliability by resisting shock, dust, and rain, and withstands a 30” drop test.
New user control features such as the automated wind protector expedites the slicing process by automatically closing to initiate the splice process, and opening upon splice completion. Fully programmable "auto open sheath clamps" option, adds to your speed and efficiency by auto-opening one sheath clamp after the tensile test to prepare the spliced fiber for removal. Automatic clam-shell design, tube heater heats both sides of the splice protection sleeve resulting in even faster shrink times. In addition, user-selectable clamping method, automated monitor image orientation, and faster battery charge capability improve usability.
Ruggedness, durability and shock resistance are also greatly enhanced by the new mirror-less optical system and "severe impact resistant" monitor. AFL's included software provides the ability to download splice data to a PC for splice data reporting, download splicer operating software via the internet to maintain peak performance, and download video images from the splicer to enhance technical support.
Package includes: BTR-09 Li-Ion Battery and charger, CT30A Cleaver, AC Adapter, AC Cord, Spare Electrodes (pair), Sheath Clamp, USB Cable, Alcohol Dispenser, Screwdriver, Splicer Carrying Strap, Quick Reference Guide, Video Instruction Manual and CC30 Transit Case with Carrying Strap.
